As a consummate innovator Ed created yet another style of the Turkish type of spindle, the Finch. In January 2014 Ed’s flat-armed miniature design was flying.

Finches are tiny ballerina dancers whirling with grace and speed. Almost as small as the Kuchulus but with thinner, straighter arms which makes them fast to wind, and able to hold plenty of weight before bogging down.
