Want to learn how to incorporate silk into your spinning in one easy step? Curious about the ply-on-the-fly method?
Wanda will teach both methods in her “Stranded Spinning & Chain-Ply” workshop Friday morning Sept 21 at the Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival (OFFF)
The TeamJenkins Tour de Fleece (TdF) world-wide adventure during July was a blast!!! People all over the world were spinning and posting pictures daily of spinning out and about in their communities, trips, and where ever life took them on each day. So many beautiful pictures of spinning in all sorts of places with lots of gorgeous yarn made daily. Thanks to all of you who took part and made it a fabulously fun event!!!
The Jenkins Forum is a friendly, encouraging forum where you can show off your spinning, get tips, meet people from all over and be a part of a wonderful spinning community. If you’re not sure how it works jump into the August Chatter and Challenge. This one requires only 14 minutes of spinning per day… doesn’t everyone spin to unwind in the evening before bed?
Congratulation to all the TdF participants who met the requirements whose names were drawn for spindles, lovely rovings gifted by various participants, and sweet spindle bags – also made by talented individuals. What a community!
This week Ed will be making spindles for the 4 winners of the Tour de Fleece team. When those are finished he’ll resume building stock to sell in the Store as well as for OFFF. Wanda will be busy helping at Vacation Bible School in the mornings and catching up with office work in the afternoons. She hopes to get lots of spindle pictures taken, uploaded and edited this week in preparation for selling online.
